Meet GEM
Global Environment Manager
GEM is an elegant, yet robust software platform for automation, control, and comprehensive management across home and commercial building environments.
Inside GEM
Designed for the people who build, operate, and use the property.
Explore the parts of GEM that turn connected equipment into a working, understandable environment.
AI-assisted commissioning
Work from the live installation to model spaces, configure supported equipment, and build reviewable automation in plain language.
Explore AI in GEM →Automation engineering
Coordinate macros, triggers, schedules, and operating modes across the systems at the property.
Explore automation →Operations
Bring alarms, system health, history, and diagnostics into one environment for response and investigation.
Explore operations →Interfaces
Turn the property model into responsive room, building, phone, tablet, and operator views.
Explore interfaces →Commissioning
Discover supported equipment, inspect native protocol data, map useful points, and verify the complete control path.
Explore commissioning →Physical access & visitors
Connect supported entry hardware with people, schedules, temporary credentials, workflows, and an audit trail.
Explore access →Integration catalog
Review documented drivers, protocol families, and the equipment GEM can bring into a shared operating model.
Browse integrations →Developer platform
Build with REST and real-time APIs, web services, scripts, custom drivers, and portable configuration artifacts.
Explore developer tools →In every license
Simple technology that’s more than smart.
Automation engine
Schedules, scenes, logic, and interlocks across every connected system — executed locally on the controller, not in someone’s data center.
Ready to use or customize
GEM builds touch and mobile interfaces from the property configuration, making them easy to use while leaving room to tailor controls and views.
Access profiles
Create profiles and customize permissions for operators, tenants, family members, guests, and contractors using their own devices.
Open protocol technology
Supported open protocols and integrations let you choose systems for the property instead of designing around a single vendor’s catalog.
Mobile app
The same control surface in your pocket, connected through the cloud when you’re away and directly on-network when you’re home.
Configured for the property
Start with the platform, then select the premium driver families and feature modules the project actually uses.
Architecture
Hybrid system.
The controller in your building is the system. It holds the configuration, runs the logic, and serves the interfaces. Connect it to GEM Cloud and you gain remote access, push notifications, updates, and off-site backup — over connections the controller opens outbound, so nothing in your building listens on the public internet.
Disconnect it, and you lose exactly those conveniences and nothing else. Buildings with strict IT policies run GEM fully air-gapped. The decision is reversible either way, and it’s yours — not a licensing tier.
Multi-site
Multiple properties made easy.
Establish consistent management across a campus, a portfolio of buildings, or a group of homes, and feel at home wherever you are. Each site runs independently on its own controller, so no property depends on another.
Operators get one login and a site picker. Owners get one app that knows every property. Nothing gets re-provisioned twice.
Lifecycle
Always ready to perform.
Installation made easier
GEM is designed to run on standard computing hardware, with installation paths for Linux and Windows.
Built to adapt
Updates arrive encrypted and integrity-checked, on your schedule. Current care coverage includes new releases as the platform evolves.
Backed up off-site
Encrypted disaster-recovery snapshots of your configuration are kept in the cloud, restorable on demand — even onto replacement hardware.
Fast, effective support
Remote support and diagnostic information help our team investigate issues without always requiring a technician on site.
